Fellowship Experience | David Counsell

The fellowship experience through Circle City Fellows gives Fellows a structured environment to learn about how their work is meaningful to the Mission of God and to the flourishing of the City of Indianapolis (and beyond). During nine months, Fellows create deep connections with their peers, focus on building spiritual and professional practices and create tangible ways in which they can impact their place of work. We asked these questions six months into the Fellowship experience. To get to know David a little more, check out this video.

Now that you have been a part of the Fellowship experience for a few months, do you believe that your work matters to the mission of God? If so, how?

Yes, all work matters to God because it is a way we reflect His image, and it brings him pleasure when we bear fruit using the gifts and opportunities He has given us.

What has your experience been like so far?

The biggest highlight of my experience thus far has been our cohort discussions with other young leaders in an intimate and intentional setting. Having the opportunity to process life, work, thoughtful articles, and Forum discussions with this peer group has truly been a 'wind in the sails' for me these past months. It’s exciting to learn about the good work people are doing in our city, and how we can continue to improve.

What is one thing that you want others to know about the Fellowship?

The program fills a much needed gap in our city, combining teaching, peer learning, mentoring, and application in a very unique and thoughtfully planned program.
