Candidate Profile

As you consider joining us for 2024-2025, you might be asking:

What makes a good Fellow?

Will I fit in?

What should I know before committing to the program?

Successful past CCF participants have shared many of the following characteristics:

BACKGROUND

Fellows participate in the program for a variety of reasons; including:

  • Questions about calling and mission,

  • Wondering if integrating faith + work means more than just evangelism,

  • Feeling professionally and relationally isolated or lost,

  • and/or longing for an alternative to a fragmented, overwhelmed, under-intentional work life.

DEMOGRAPHICS

Most Fellows are:

  • Early to mid-career, or in the middle of job transitions

  • In their mid-20’s to late-30’s

  • Aware of the type of work they want to do, but desiring deeper reflection on their specific role or contribution

  • Interested in understanding how they can meaningful influence in the workplace

  • Committed to knowing more about the city of Indianapolis and how they might contribute to Indy’s thriving.

SPIRITUALITY

Fellows should exhibit:

• A maturing relationship with God in Jesus Christ.

• An openness to new perspectives and practices of spiritual formation and mission.

• The ability to listen to and dialogue with other participants from a variety of workplace, political, economic, and cultural backgrounds.

EMOTIONALLY

Circle City Fellows creates a tight network of participants who are eager to have deep conversations about important matters in life and faith. Therefore, it helps to have:

  • Growing emotional and relational intelligence.

  • Enjoyment of reading and discussing ideas with others, including challenging ones

  • The discipline to self-manage and follow through on commitments.

  • The desire for a broader professional network of like-minded Christians in Indianapolis.

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

It is our desire that CCF’s participants and affiliates reflect the demographics of Indianapolis and the full diversity of God’s creation. Toward that end:

  • People of color and anyone who identifies as belonging to a minority community are especially encouraged to apply.

  • If you anticipate requiring any accommodations to participate fully in the fellowship program, please indicate this in your application. Accommodations may include (but are not limited to) large-print texts, wheelchair accessible locations, etc.

  • We are an ecumenical organization, meaning that we welcome Christians and followers of Jesus from a wide variety of denominational and church backgrounds.

We strive to be an organization where all are welcome, included, and valued.
