Fellows Spotlight | John Jester
The fellowship experience through Circle City Fellows gives Fellows a structured environment to learn about how their work is meaningful to the Mission of God and to the flourishing of the City of Indianapolis (and beyond). During nine months, Fellows create deep connections with their peers, focus on building spiritual and professional practices, and create tangible ways in which they can impact their place of work.
John came to us at CCF through his relationship with Scott Noel, who is an alumni from our inaugural 2020 class. He is an Indy native and lives in the Castleton area, where he works as a cloud engineer. In 2012-2016, John also served in the United States Marine Corps.
John came to love and appreciate Japanese culture while stationed there during his time in the Marines. He also loves all things golf–it’s both his favorite way to unwind and something that has brought a lot of growth to his life.
We’re thrilled to have John joining us in CCF this year. Here’s some of what he said about what he’s looking forward to this year:
Why are you interested in being a Fellow with CCF?
To grow and seek self improvement in a variety of capacities. I hope to gain personal insight and professional development.
I decided to participate in the CCF Fellowship because…
I wanted to learn and grow.
By the end of the Fellowship, I hope to…
Have grown into a better man through spiritual, personal, and professional growth
Our mission is to help adults of faith come to see how their work matters to God and is an important part of Indianapolis’ flourishing. We’re so happy to have John as part of our fellowship class this year!
